PUBG Mobile tips and tricks: How to reduce weapon recoil in the game
PUBG Mobile is currently one of the most popular game which offers more realistic gaming experience compared to other games of the genre. Having said that, the game is based on gunfire and has almost real-life like mechanics such as rate of fire, recoil, bullet drop, etc that decide the damage rate of the particular weapon. But PUBG has received a lot of complaints related to the inconsistent performance of the game and launched an initiative called ‘Fix PUBG’ last year to fix all the bugs and issues related to the game. Recently a Youtuber found a bug which is directly related to the FPS and gun recoil. As recoil is important in the game and players need to understand to handle the recoil and response of any gun, which is one of the aspect where most players struggle. To make the things easier for you, we have put together a few tips and tricks that can help you reduce the weapon recoil.

1. Crouch or prone while shooting or aiming The first thing you should do while aiming or shooting is to crouch or go prone. This is more helpful while engaging with a long-range fight as it reduces the bullet spread by keeping the recoil at minimum. The bullets are also fired in more tightly cluster manner. For example, the AKM recoil will be reduced by almost 50% percent while shooting in the crouch or prone mode.

2. Use Peak & Fire to shoot Adding to the above point, crouching and using left or right peak option further reduces the recoil of the gun. This can also be used when standing straight while shooting.

3. Use single fire mode or burst mode Most of the time while using an automatic gun, players forget that the auto mode increases the recoil of the weapon and hence they have to counter the recoil for the next shot. So switching to either single or burst mode results in minimum possible recoil -- especially in single mode -- as players need to just fire once without worrying about the recoil of the weapon.

4. Use both fire buttonsThe game has the option to enable two fire buttons -- left and right side of the screen. While sniping or shooting a long-range target this comes in really handy. Do keep in mind that the dominant hand thumb should be on fire button while the other hand can be used to move the camera for better aim. 5. Understand weapon mechanics and recoil patternEach weapon in the game has its own recoil pattern such as few guns move top and bottom, while others can move right or left during shooting. Practice is the key here, head to the practice mode and select the gun you want to use, aim at any wall and start firing. Now, notice the direction of the recoil and try adjusting the recoil. This is also countering the direction of recoil. For example, if the gun is moving toward the right, try to move your aim to the left. 6. Find the right attachments that can help with recoilThere are several attachments in the game that can help you reduce the recoil such as lower rail attachments (angled foregrip, half grip and light grip), compensators for ARs, SMGs and Snippers. 7. Adjust Sensitivity and camera settingsThe game also allows users to adjust the sensitivity of the camera as per the need. Head to Settings > Sensitivity and adjust the desired settings for Scopes, red dot and aim assist.
